Wayne Ashley is a program director, producer, and curator with twenty years experience in developing and implementing hybrid projects with nationally and internationally recognized artists and cultural institutions. He has directed and administered programs at Seattle Art Museum, Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, and was the Founding Executive Director of CPR—Center for Performance Research in New York. He has curated and organized conferences, online/offline exhibitions, and symposia, and helped to make artistic, financial, intellectual, and administrative links across disparate institutions and organizations through innovative programming. He has a B.A. in dance and theater from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the Department of Performance Studies, New York University.
